TEAM SQUADRUN STRAVA SUPPORT
ABOUT THE TEAM SQUADRUN STRAVA INTEGRATION
TEAM SQUADRUN provides an optional Strava connection to make it easier for an athlete to mark a prescribed running session as complete.
The integration has a deliberately limited purpose.
After you connect your own Strava account, TEAM SQUADRUN can display your own recent Strava running activities from the previous seven days.
When completing a prescribed TEAM SQUADRUN running session, you may manually select the Strava activity that corresponds with that session and choose “Link run”.
You decide which activity, if any, is linked.
TEAM SQUADRUN does not use the Strava integration as a general Strava activity archive, coaching-data feed, analytics service or social-data service.
CONNECTING STRAVA
Connecting Strava is optional.
You must expressly authorise TEAM SQUADRUN through Strava’s OAuth authorisation process before TEAM SQUADRUN can access any Strava activity information.
TEAM SQUADRUN requests only the Strava permissions required to provide the session-completion feature.
You can withdraw that authorisation by disconnecting Strava from TEAM SQUADRUN or revoking SQUADRUN’s access through your Strava account.
WHAT STRAVA DATA TEAM SQUADRUN MAY ACCESS
For the purpose of allowing you to identify one of your own recent running activities, TEAM SQUADRUN may temporarily process information supplied by Strava such as:
• activity name
• activity identifier
• activity date
• activity start time
• distance
• moving time
• pace
• heart rate where available
• information required to identify and display the activity
• a Strava activity link where required
TEAM SQUADRUN accesses this information only for the Strava account that you personally authorised.
WHO CAN SEE YOUR STRAVA DATA
Only you, the authenticated athlete who connected the Strava account, can view Strava activity data obtained through this integration inside TEAM SQUADRUN.
Strava activity data obtained through the API is not displayed to:
• your SQUADRUN coach
• SQUADRUN administrators
• other athletes
• other TEAM SQUADRUN users
The integration does not allow one user to browse, inspect or retrieve another athlete’s Strava activity data.
HOW STRAVA DATA IS USED
Strava data obtained through this integration is used only to allow you to view your own recent activities and manually select one when marking a prescribed TEAM SQUADRUN running session complete.
Strava data and data derived from Strava data are not used by SQUADRUN for:
• artificial intelligence
• machine learning
• AI training or evaluation
• AI prompts or context
• automated coaching recommendations
• athlete profiling
• analytics
• benchmarking
• rankings
• aggregated datasets
• advertising
• targeted advertising
• marketing
• resale
• product-development analysis
Strava activity data is not made available to third parties through TEAM SQUADRUN.
HOW LONG STRAVA DATA IS RETAINED
TEAM SQUADRUN treats Strava activity information as transient data.
Strava activity data is retained only within Strava’s permitted temporary cache period and is not retained in that cache for more than seven days.
TEAM SQUADRUN does not use this integration to create a permanent archive or searchable historical database of your Strava activities.
Cached Strava activity information is removed after the permitted cache period.
If TEAM SQUADRUN determines that a Strava resource is no longer available from Strava, the corresponding cached Strava information will be removed as required.
DISCONNECTING STRAVA
You may disconnect Strava from TEAM SQUADRUN.
You may also revoke TEAM SQUADRUN’s authorisation from your Strava account.
Where authorisation is revoked, your Strava account is deleted, you validly request deletion, or another applicable deletion requirement arises, SQUADRUN will permanently delete the relevant Strava data and authentication credentials as required by the Strava API requirements and applicable law.
You may contact us if you would like confirmation that a deletion request has been completed.
REQUESTING DELETION OF STRAVA DATA
You may request deletion of Strava information associated with your TEAM SQUADRUN account at any time.
